Events - Friday


Log Clean & Press

Athlete will clean and press a log from ground to overhead for max reps within 60 sec time limit.

  • • Athletes will compete head-to-head (2 lanes).

    • 60 second time limit.

    • Total reps completed is your score.

    • Athlete begins at a starting line.

    • Athlete must wait for judge’s command to receive a good rep.

    • No lift will count unless a down signal is received from the judge.

    • To receive the down command, feet must be in line with each other and head must be in line with the arms. Elbow, knees, and hips must be locked out and stable.

    • Each rep must begin from the ground.

    • Log is not allowed to touch or rest on the athletes head.

    • No straps, hooks, tacky, tack towels, or grip shirts allowed.

    • No built up belts or loose prong/buckles in the front.


Yoke Race

Athlete will carry a yoke down a 20m / 65.5ft course within a 60 sec time limit.

  • • Athletes will compete head-to-head (2 lanes).

    • 60 second time limit.

    • Time and total distance completed is your score.

    • Time stops when both feet of the yoke break the line.

    • Athlete begins under the yoke.

    • Unlimited drops allowed.

    • No grip shirts allowed.

Events - Saturday


Sandbag Steeplechase

Athlete will carry a series of 2 sandbags 10m / 33ft and load over a bar. The athlete will then run around the bar and proceed to carry the sandbags 10m / 33ft and load onto a platform within 60 sec time limit.

  • • Athletes will compete head-to-head (2 lanes).

    • 60 second time limit.

    • Time and number of bags completed is your score.

    • Time stops when the last sandbag is loaded to the platform and the athlete’s hands are off.

    • If an athlete is unable to finish loading both sandbags on the platform, split times will be taken at each sandbag load.

    • Athlete begins on a line.

    • Gloves and chalk are allowed.

    • No grip shirts allowed.

    • Bar and platform height will be 122cm / 48in


Deadlift Ladder

Athlete will deadlift a series of 4 bars for fastest time within a 60 sec time limit.

  • • Athletes will compete head-to-head (2 lanes).

    • 60 second time limit.

    • Time and number of deadlifts completed is your score.

    • Time stops when the last deadlift is locked out and the judge gives a down command.

    • Athlete begins on a line.

    • Once time begins, athlete will deadlift each bar, in ascending weight order.

    • No lift will count unless a down signal is received from the judge.

    • To receive the down command, knees and hips must be fully locked out with shoulders behind the plane of the bar.

    • Once the down call is received, the bar may be dropped, and the athlete moves onto the next bar.

    • If an athlete is unable to finish all 4 bars, split times will be taken at each credited lift.

    • Only conventional stance deadlifts will be allowed (no sumo, Jefferson, etc..)

    • Straps, gloves and chalk are allowed. (figure 8’s allowed with thumbs touching bar)

    • Deadlift suits, under the competition shirt, are allowed.

Events - Sunday


Shield Carry

Athlete will carry a shield back and forth across a 20m / 65.5ft course for max distance with no time limit.

  • • Athletes will compete head-to-head (2 lanes).

    • No time limit.

    • Total distance completed is your score.

    • Athlete begins touching the shield.

    • Athlete is allowed to turn at 20m / 65.5ft only when the athlete crosses the line or a foot breaks the line.

    • No drops allowed.

    • No grip shirts allowed.


Power Stairs

Athlete will lift a series of 4 implements up 3 stairs for fastest time within a 60 sec time limit.

  • • Athletes will compete head-to-head (2 lanes).

    • 60 second time limit.

    • Time and number of stairs completed is your score.

    • Time stops when the last implement is fully on the 3rd stair and the athlete’s hands are off.

    • Athlete begins on a line.

    • Once time begins, athlete will lift each implement, in ascending weight order.

    • The athlete must have the implement fully on the 3rd stair before moving on to the next implement.

    • If an athlete is unable to finish all 3 stairs for all 4 implements, split times will be taken at each stair.

    • Gloves and chalk are allowed.
